A Surrey-based abstract, and semi-abstract, landscape painter, Emma Price works primarily in oils. Emma initially undertook a Foundation Fine Art Degree before completing a Bachelor of Graphic Design in 1993. Although having a successful design career in both Australia and England, as a magazine Art/Creative Director across leading women's titles – in 2019 Emma left the publishing world to pursue her fine arts career. Having always felt a connection to our natural world, her work has evolved from realism pencil artist to abstract landscape painter – often based on landscapes Emma has lived and travelled through, she creates atmospheric works that have a strong sense of light and drama, that take the viewer to more ethereal and imagined landscapes
Recent successes include being a finalist for the prestigious David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation Wildlife Artist of the Year 2024, and 2023, as well as being Highly Commended in 2023 in the Earth’s Wild Beauty category. She was shortlisted for the Women in Art Prize 2023, in the abstract painting category; and exhibits regularly at art fairs and galleries across the country, including the Mall Galleries, London
